Mills River Rescue and Sanctuary

240 River Road

Meet rescued ponies and donkeys during a one-hour, hands-on farm visit at Mills River Rescue and Sanctuary in Marstons Mills. Families can hear the animals’ stories, spend time grooming them, and learn how to walk a pony. The visit also includes time for children to meet and snuggle the bunnies. This nonprofit sanctuary cares for animals who need a safe home, making it a chance to learn about kindness to animals as well as enjoy their company. Farm visits cost $20 per person and must be arranged in advance. Call 774-353-6557 or use the contact form linked from the farm-visit page to request a visit. There are no published drop-in hours; availability can be affected by winter conditions and summer heat. Ask about suitable arrangements for your children when booking, as no minimum age is published. The rescue’s publicly listed street address is 240 River Road, Marstons Mills. Confirm arrival directions when your visit is booked; the PO Box on its contact page is for mail, not visits. Birthday parties are also available by advance arrangement. Pony walking is part of the advertised experience—not pony riding.
