1856 Country Store

555 Main Street

Turn a stroll through Centerville into a little treasure hunt at the 1856 Country Store. Families can browse classic and newer candy favorites, old-fashioned toys, Cape Cod souvenirs, and gifts, then take a breather on the front porch benches. It’s a year-round shop for a small treat or a keepsake—not a scheduled activity or indoor playspace. Find it at 555 Main Street, Centerville, near Centerville Playground. The store lists off-season hours, from Labor Day through late June, as 9 AM–5:30 PM daily. Summer hours are 9 AM–8 PM daily. Check with the store for holiday changes. Candy, toys, and gifts are priced individually; “penny candy” is the store’s traditional description, not a promise that items cost one cent.
