Parker River Star Party
Tuesday, November 3, 2026, 6:30 PM · Parker River National Wildlife Refuge — Parking Lot 1 · Newbury
Spend an evening exploring the night sky with the North Shore Amateur Astronomy Club. This all-ages gathering introduces families to stars, planets, and the importance of dark skies for wildlife. Meet at refuge Parking Lot 1 for this special after-hours program. Arrive on time: the refuge gate will be locked at 7:00 PM. Further meeting instructions are emailed 48–72 hours before the event. If rain or clouds prevent viewing, the conditional backup date is November 5, at the same time and place. The program is free. Advance registration is required at https://bit.ly/parkerriversignup and space is limited. Program cancellation notices are shared by email and on the refuge’s Facebook page.
