Parker River Fee-Free Day: Veterans Day
Wednesday, November 11, 2026 · Parker River National Wildlife Refuge · Newbury
Plan a self-guided family visit to Parker River National Wildlife Refuge with the entrance fee waived in recognition of Veterans Day. Look for wildlife and enjoy the refuge’s open public areas at your own pace. This is an admission offer, not a scheduled guided program. The refuge’s normal public hours are sunrise to sunset; the national event page’s late-night end time does not extend local opening hours. Follow posted closures and refuge rules. The waiver does not include concessionaire charges or permits for activities such as hunting, fishing, or special tours. The map pin marks Parking Lot 1 on Refuge Road, not the mainland visitor center.
