Family Sea Turtle Patrol
Sunday, December 13, 2026, 2:30 PM · Cape Cod Bay Beach — Exact Location Assigned 1–2 Days Before · Wellfleet
IMPORTANT LOCATION NOTE: This program does not meet at Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary. The exact Cape Cod Bay beach can be anywhere from Dennis to Truro and is assigned only 1–2 days before the event based on weather, tides, and where turtles are most likely to be found. Check the official program website and the organizer's emailed confirmation for the exact beach and meeting instructions before traveling. Join a Wellfleet Bay educator for a guided family beach walk in search of cold-stunned sea turtles while learning about sea turtle biology, life cycles, and Mass Audubon's rescue work. This is an educational program, not volunteer training. Dress warmly and wear footwear that can get wet or muddy. Adult and child admission is $17 for nonmembers or $14 for Mass Audubon members. Registration is required for each attendee; children must be at least 7.
