CraneExplorer: Family Full Moon Hike in the Dunes
Sunday, October 25, 2026, 5:30 PM · Crane Beach on the Crane Estate · Ipswich
Take an evening walk with the kids along Crane Beach as the sun sets, then follow a guide into the dunes by moonlight. This family-paced outing makes more stops to look and listen, but still covers about 2–3 miles over two hours; it is best for children around ages 5–12 who can manage the full walk. Bring water, dress for the weather and consider a flashlight. Children must come with an adult. A family ticket covers a group of about four; groups of six or more need additional tickets. Member family $36; nonmember family $45. Register in advance: bookings close 24 hours before the hike, with no walk-ins or on-site ticket sales. The exact meeting spot will be emailed about 24 hours beforehand. Ticket availability may change; check the registration link before heading out.
